Putting conditions change, Putting strokes change, now your putter can change also. The Happy Putter allows golfers to custom fit themselves everytime they play. Fast greens, slow greens, grainy greens, no problem. Trying a new putter stance? No problem. Frustrated because you are pulling or pushing your putts? We got that covered. The Happy Putter features an aluminum face pressed against a poly urethane loft shim that provides the perfect balance of feel and feedback to optimize distance control. The blue anodized finish is not only beautiful and unique, but also extremely durable. The custom over-sized grip, which has a patent pending, feels great in your hands no matter what grip style you prefer. With three different lie options, three different loft options, three different off set options, and three different sets of weights, rest assured knowing the putter you need will be in your bag, and while you may not have a tour representative providing advice on how to adjust your putter, you will have access to the free Happy Putter App, which will tell you how to adjust your putter for any conditions you come across.
Golfers have been waiting a long time for the next big idea in putters, are you Happy now?
Fine tune your putter in four major ways
Now you can benefit from the same levels of ajdustanility that Tour players have at their disposal every week.
The Happy Putter adjustable hosel provides for the three most popular offset options―zero, half-shaft and full-shaft. This is accomplished with the positioning of two offset rings. Offset adjustments are used to set the putter face square to the intended target line at impact. If a golfer tends to return the putter face open to the intended target line at impact, more offset will delay the impact point, allowing more time for the putter face to close. The opposite is true for golfers that return the putter face closed to the intended target line at impact.
Loft is needed to get the ball out of the slight depression the weight of the ball causes and get it rolling smoothly on the intended line. The typical putter face loft is 3 to 4 degrees because it is identified as the most optimal launch angle for efficient ball control with a putter.
The face of both the Happy Mallet and the Happy Blade putters can be adjusted to three loft positions―standard (3.5 degrees), high (6 degrees), and low (1 degree). Through the use of loft “shims” you can easily adjust the loft of the putter.
Two factors drive the need to adjust putter loft.
• Shaft Lean at Impact: If the golfer has the putter shaft at exactly 90 degrees to the ground at impact, a standard loft putter setting is best. If the golfer has a forward leaning shaft (leaning toward the target) the effective loft of the putter is decreased, and adding loft is best. A golfer with a backward leaning shaft at impact adds loft, therefore, reducing loft is best.
• Green Surface
Bent grass greens vs. Bermuda vs. Poana. Each green surface creates different challenges, but in general, golfers want more loft on greens that have more grain so the ball will roll on top of the grain rather than fighting through it. Softer greens and slower greens typically cause the ball to rest slightly deeper in the grass, requiring more loft to get the ball rolling on the intended line. Firm and fast greens benefit from less loft.
Some golfers carry their hands lower at impact and would benefit from a flatter lie angle, while some carry their hands higher and therefore would benefit from a more upright lie angle. The typical putter shaft lie angle is 71 degrees.
The Happy Putter adjustable lie angle system provides three lie angle positions: standard (71 degrees), upright (74 degrees) and flat (68 degrees).
Both Happy Putters are designed with MOI-increasing heel and toe weight ports. With three different weights (standard, light and heavy) the weights can be adjusted based on preference, speed of the greens, and ball impact tendencies. Varying the weight on the heel and toe can also benefit the golfer who has a tendency to hit off center.
Right handed? Left handed? Doesn’t matter.
The Happy Putter―in both mallet and blade styles―is ingeniously designed with a grip that suits both left-or-right-handed players. We have to admit, we’re pretty proud of ourselves for coming up with this; we’ve even filed a patent for it.
